A multiplane animation table for teaching stop-motion animation and more.

Multiplan is an educational animation table for stop motion animation and film education. It was created by OPAK studio as a practical tool for schools, art schools, galleries, museums and educational institutions.

It allows you to work in layers – combining backgrounds, characters and objects – and simply explains the principles of animation, image composition and working with space.

Thanks to the clear technical solution, children, students and lecturers can focus mainly on creation, story and movement.

Multiplan is not just an animation table. It is a complete teaching station that connects several parts into one functional unit:

→ 500 × 700 mm work area provides enough space to work in layers, with backgrounds, characters and objects

→ camera and tablet are ready for taking pictures and comfortable work during classes and workshops

 

We also offer the Multiplan without scanning equipment — for those who already have their own equipment.

The delivery includes basic training and two-year service.

How does Multiplan work?

You can try out the animation principle step by step on Multiplán:

→ prepare the scene in layers

→ you move a puppet, character or object slightly

→ take a picture

→ individual frames are combined into an animation

→ send the film to your email or download it to your phone via QR code

 

Thanks to this, the viewer sees a smooth film and the student naturally understands,

how animation is created — from a series of individual images that quickly follow each other.

Ideas for Teaching with the Multiplane

Multiplan is easy to use and we also prepare didactic support and methodological materials for it. At the practical workshop How to Teach Animation, we will show you how to meaningfully incorporate it into your teaching, how to prepare animation tasks, and how to guide children from the first idea to the finished film.
